My ABC's of Writing: Brought to You by the Letter E

Today's post brought to you by the letter "E" as we round out the first week of this (thankfully) finite experiment.

Editing.

Oh, editing.

We love you. We know you're necessary for our work, and sometimes we prefer to call you other names like "proofreading" or "revising." But when it comes down to it, we have to draw out our mighty red pen and wield it like a blood-drunk Spartan wields a sword. We slash at our enemies: the Evil Comma Splice, the Diabolical Misspelled Word, the Notorious Transposed Letter, and the Dreaded Dangling Modifier.

Only when the day is over and enough blood has been spilled do we finally have a living, breathing story.
